Accident at Aprede 6 Dead, Others Injured

Six persons have died on the spot in an accident that occurred at Aprede in the Okere District of the Eastern Region.
Several others who sustained injuries are receiving care at the Yilo Krobo Government Hospital.
A sprinter bus with registration number GY 1570-13 was conveying passengers from Koforidua to a funeral at Aflao and was involved in the accident.

The driver is suspected to be overspeeding and failing to adhere to road regulations which got him to veer off the road due to its curvy nature.
The vehicle somersaulted before landing in the Aprede Valley.

The Ghana National Fire Service and the Police employed efforts to rescue the victims.
The accident scene is the same spot four deaths were recorded among students and staff of the University of Education Winneba who were on an educational trip.
